Wreck this Journal ~ Week 8


We have one more week of wrecking! Can you believe it? In preparation for closing next Friday, spend spend some time this week considering what you would like to acknowledge yourself for. What would you like to say "Yay me!" about? What would you like to celebrate? Maybe that's something we can share on our last day.

And speaking of celebrations, I hope you have all received your invitation to next week's Wrecking Ball Call. I will record it and post it here for those of you who won't be able to make it. If you haven't received your invitation, please check your junkmail folder. And if it's not there, email me at jamie(at)openthedoor(dot)ca and I'll be sure you get all of the details.

During the call, I'll also announce our next book. Shortly thereafter I'll put up a new blog and a sign-up form for you to say, "Yes, I want to join in The Next Chapter's next adventure!" The mailing list for Wreck this Journal will not stay active. The best way of making sure you don't miss out on anything is to sign up for my monthly newsletter.

    I love that you ask questions about our personalities because this experience has taught me about so many limitations I keep on myself. In answer to your question, I'm definitely a strong starter, then fizzle out. My husband helped come up with new ideas which, in turn, helped me stretch my limits. My video this week is filled with things I was shaking my head "no, no, no" about because I'm so chicken. But I did it all- the slow motion run, the gasoline fire, all of it!

    Jamie, have you considered us very few poor European wrecking sisters?!- we are definetly out of the celebration. An internet chat would be a better solution, I think.

    I'm so glad I joined this group! It has been fun wrecking! And the best part is visiting all the other blogs and meeting so many creative persons! I'm in awe at what I've seen and read! Poetry! Paintings! Writings! And just fun stuff!

    I'm nearly finished with the journal - there's just a few pages that are completely empty...interestingly enough, one page is the Happy Thoughts page and another is the Angry page. LOL

    I'm so happy that I found you and in turn found all of the other participants. I think I've found lifelong blogging/creative inspiration.

    I hope you don't delete this blog - I would like to make sure I can still visit these folks.

    Thanks Jamie - this has been an awesome adventure. I had my doubts at the beginning, and at first I compared my work to others, but you sorted me out! I have gained so much. I am usually gung ho at the beginning and slow to finish but I find I am still working away and enjoying it all. It has sparked so many other things as well.
    I will miss Friday's call - and probably won't be posting for awhile as we are off on holidays.
    But have left an award for everyone! You all deserve it!

    Thanks for this encouraging (as always) video - I like the idea of "pacing" - and my pace is ALWAYS behind! But I keep plugging along.

    Thanks for leading this group - and I know for sure I won't be officially finishing up on Fri. - it will be at least almost another week, for sure.

    (I'm always BEHIND, remember?)

    And Kavindra - ha ha - I know at least half of *your* fun is the costumes! ha ha ha! Thanks for making me laugh! HARD! And really really LOUD!
