A few people have been asking me about how much wrecking they should do each week, and of course the answer is, as much as you like! The only thing you might want to keep in mind is that we'll be sharing the experience until July 31st. Now, that might mean you want to pace yourself to make sure you have some to savour each week. Or that might mean gobble it up create your own creative destruction if you run out of prompts!
This may just be an adventure that never ends....
What was your journal wreckage like this week?
Loooooooooooooove getting to see and hear you giggle, Jamie! Great chewing and spitting out there, too :) Just posted my Week 2 now. And you've got me thinking about that one page that "omg, i cannot do that" page... I think I'll need to attempt that one for this coming week!
ReplyDeleteMiracles,
k-
I love that so many people are getting involved, I will have to see if I can get hubby to join me this week. He could do with a little destruction.
ReplyDeleteIt's going so great Jamie! I'm so happy for you that so many people are letting out their chaotic tendencies thanks to you. It got me back into the crafts room with my Dremel tool, never thought that would happen.
Yeah, I SO know what THAT PAGE is...actually, more like THOSE pages...*grin*....getting there, getting there...
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, this is beyond fun...
~brightest blessings~
I love your child-like glee when you bite that book, Jamie. You're a natural in front of a camera!
ReplyDeleteThis is has been really fun. I think my daughter is even having fun with it too. I never let her write in her books and definitely wouldn't let her write in mine. There are a few pages I'm not sure how I'm going to get them done, and a few pages I'm going to have break the rules for. Like the spill you coffee page. I hate coffee so I'm going to use tea.
ReplyDeleteExcellent Jamie.....love the chewing!!!
ReplyDelete:)
It was SO HARD this week to crack the spine. SO HARD! I'm impressed with all the wrecking you've already done. :)
ReplyDeleteI smeared chocolate syrup and mustard on a page, and it was soooo fun! A bit gross, too:)
ReplyDeleteYep, I know those pages... the "OMG, I could never do that" pages. I was just wondering last night to myself if I'm actually going to do those or not... The ones involving other people (like total strangers) seem like quite an uncomfortable stretch to me!
This has been such a groovy experience. I am having fun visiting everyone's sites this weekend. I visited some already and feel laughter and joy rising from my sacral chakra up to my heart and throat chakras .... WOW. Thanks all. Happy wrecking!
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing experience so far! I've learned just how limited I am in myself. You're telling us to pick that one "never" page and try it? I am making that my goal for the coming week.
ReplyDeleteThank you for pulling all these amazing people together! It's so much fun to be working on this with others.
I am having so much fun with this! I can feel how I'm pushing up against some of my boundaries...
ReplyDeleteJamie, that was quite an inspirational, gentle vlog post! I teared up a couple of times...you obvioulsy hit some marks with me (really? me tear up??!). Looking without leaping, eek!

Hi Jamie...
ReplyDeleteLOL!!!FUN!
Oops Again my post is up there twice. Sorry.
First one didn't show so I redid it...guess Mr. Linky was being slow.
Will wait longer next time.
love the video clips you are adding here ! Your giggle is contagious too!
ReplyDeleteSooner rather than later this time and a bit wordy - I have to master this new puter so I can do pics (they still say a picture's worth a thousand words, don't they?)
ReplyDeleteOk - I've started & I'm #40. This is testing the waters first...but FUN!
ReplyDeletesbartist #41 this is the first attack on the Journal and suffered a small injury in the process - but the ICE IS BROKEN and the Gloves are off... :)
ReplyDeleteOK #42 - this week's experiment - Sticky Stuff! I'm still waiting for the honey to get tacky or solidify so I can move on. I don't want it to drip off or attract the ants. Anyone think it will help if I put UTEE on it and heat emboss it??? Seriously...Tomorrow it's getting tied and bound closed and going on a little trip via USPS...weeeeeeeeeeee!
ReplyDelete'twas fun, felt lighter again - head in the clouds - delicious!

ReplyDeleteYour laugh is infectious! O my though, while others may have had a hard time wrecking -- I think I may have over wrecked!
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying meeting others great blogs and wonderful wrecking journey's in this way -- it seems to show our inner in a safe way! Girls play so differently- no wonder we are enigmas to others as well as ourselves sometimes!
Wow, thanks for this inspiring vlog post. First, I *love* the opening - w/you chewing the page. Ha ha! And I really love what you have to say about "nothing bad happened" - it was fun instead! I really truly appreciate your spiritedness - and I must say, you have a GREAT joyful laugh. It is nice to hear, and inspiring. Thanks for encouraging us to tackle that "no way" page. I will look for that this upcoming week. Your vlog was just what I needed, to get re-energized, and get excited again. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHmmm. I have a couple of no-way pages ... might be a busy week! LOL. Looking forward to visiting around some more this week too. Everyone is doing such FABULOUSLY FUN stuff!!
ReplyDeleteLast sunday I found the Magazine Artful Blogging & the book Wreck This Journal. Tonight I'm finally getting a chance to read the Artful Blogging magazine & I read about Creative Every Day. I go to the website and I see the vlog where she is talking about your Wreck This Journal Challenge. It truly amazes me house things in life just move so fluidly from one thing to another.
ReplyDeleteI've been enjoying wrecking my journal and will add my link as soon as I update my blog in the morning.
I can't wait to start going through all of the other links!
What a blast to see you chew and spit on camera! You're such an inspiration, Jamie! Rock on!
ReplyDeleteHee hee hee chewing!!!! Thanks, Jamie for your video and for doing this. It is SO inspirationsal and just plain fun to share this journey with everyone!!
ReplyDeleteYour enthusiasm is addictive. Thank you so much for helping to get me out of my fear and into my life!
ReplyDeleteHey posted but the book has disappeared ummmm!!!!
ReplyDeleteBetter late than never, right! I'm here for week two, wrecking away over at WildRumpusing. I think I'm behind, but I will catch up!! Thanks for all the fun and new folks to watch as we step outside the box.
ReplyDeleteHad fun wrecking the journal this week! I am such a control freak that my "wrecking" was very calculated, but not this coming week. I am throwing it out of my car window while driving...I am letting lose! I may only be driving 2 mph, but still.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was going to be easy, and I noticed that the things I did were easy, but I avoided some that I couldn't face yet - taking it into the shower and waterlogging the pages (oh no!!!), burning a page, sending it off in the mail (what if it doesn't come back???!!!). Interesting - I noticed I was very conservative so far. This week will be different!
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to read everyone's comments and blogs though!
I am off to a slow start as I had to work up the courage to get this going (smile) but after doing a few things I am so much more motivated to do a lot more wrecking over the coming week.
ReplyDeleteI am also enjoying reading everyone's experiences with their wrecking.
Thanks again Jamie.
This is a lot of fun; I'm happy to be a part of such a wild and freeing experience! :)
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to start doodling with my left hand from now on. It's a cool challenge and one of my favorite journal pages!
PS - Love the video! Chomp, chomp!!
Hilarious to see you chewing on a book.
ReplyDeleteI have been looking at the book for over a week - it took me the whole first week to go out and buy it ... now it's taken me a week to bend the cover.
Seeing you here in this video makes me want to try it. And you know what - it is hard. And that surprises the heck outta me.
Thank you for being such a coach and cheerleader. Off to (MAYBE) chew a page...
I dont have a blog yet, and my camersa went on vacation for two weeks by mistake!! will try soon. but I am working on WRECKING the heck out of my journal..its just what I need at this particular time
