Wreck this Journal ~ Week 8

We have one more week of wrecking! Can you believe it? In preparation for closing next Friday, spend spend some time this week considering what you would like to acknowledge yourself for. What would you like to say "Yay me!" about? What would you like to celebrate? Maybe that's something we can share on our last day.

And speaking of celebrations, I hope you have all received your invitation to next week's Wrecking Ball Call. I will record it and post it here for those of you who won't be able to make it. If you haven't received your invitation, please check your junkmail folder. And if it's not there, email me at jamie(at)openthedoor(dot)ca and I'll be sure you get all of the details.

During the call, I'll also announce our next book. Shortly thereafter I'll put up a new blog and a sign-up form for you to say, "Yes, I want to join in The Next Chapter's next adventure!" The mailing list for Wreck this Journal will not stay active. The best way of making sure you don't miss out on anything is to sign up for my monthly newsletter.

Enjoy your week. Enjoy the special connection of our wrecking crew. Know that wherever you are is just exactly perfect.

  1. sounds like so much fun.. and I am excited about the next project

  2. haha - excellent!! I made a VIDEO this week!!

  3. I love that you ask questions about our personalities because this experience has taught me about so many limitations I keep on myself. In answer to your question, I'm definitely a strong starter, then fizzle out. My husband helped come up with new ideas which, in turn, helped me stretch my limits. My video this week is filled with things I was shaking my head "no, no, no" about because I'm so chicken. But I did it all- the slow motion run, the gasoline fire, all of it!

  4. Jamie, have you considered us very few poor European wrecking sisters?!- we are definetly out of the celebration. An internet chat would be a better solution, I think.
I'm looking forward to the next chapter- what ever it is- I'm there!

  5. I played with fire this week. IN THE DARK!

I'm looking forward to the conference call.

  6. I'm so glad I joined this group! It has been fun wrecking! And the best part is visiting all the other blogs and meeting so many creative persons! I'm in awe at what I've seen and read! Poetry! Paintings! Writings! And just fun stuff!

  7. Thank you Jamie.. I hope you know how inspirational this has been.. I dreamed about the conference call last night.. i am looking forward to it

My best to you .. (((hugs)))

  8. Thank you thank you so much Jamie for putting this have opened new doors for me and my kids (and the neighbours' kids too!!).

Can't wait to find out about the next book!

  9. I'm nearly finished with the journal - there's just a few pages that are completely empty...interestingly enough, one page is the Happy Thoughts page and another is the Angry page. LOL

I'm so happy that I found you and in turn found all of the other participants. I think I've found lifelong blogging/creative inspiration.

I hope you don't delete this blog - I would like to make sure I can still visit these folks.

See you next week on the conference call!
    Kristin - The Goat

  10. I'm so glad I found this wrecking crew - it's been such fun. Hope to catch up with you all on the call next week - might not be able to stay long cause I'll be calling from the UK but really want to say hi and thanks for all the fun and inspiration!

  11. I just love watching your video every week, love your energy, and that laugh!

This has been the ... THE ... most fun a person could ever have online.

And I agree with kirby ~ could this stay up online so I can revisit the amazing fellow wreckers?

  12. Oh my Goodness! Your journal is awesome! Mine doesn't look at all that good - I guess to begin with I've kinda only started but even so lol. It looks awesome!

  13. Thanks Jamie - this has been an awesome adventure. I had my doubts at the beginning, and at first I compared my work to others, but you sorted me out! I have gained so much. I am usually gung ho at the beginning and slow to finish but I find I am still working away and enjoying it all. It has sparked so many other things as well.
I will miss Friday's call - and probably won't be posting for awhile as we are off on holidays.
But have left an award for everyone! You all deserve it!

  14. Haven't done my last week of wrecking yet. Have a vision for it and hope to get to it in the next day or so. And sooo looking forward to the celebration call -- and finding out what the next adventure will be, too :) Thanks so much, Jamie -- and every single one of you Wreckers who have made me feel ALIVE these last weeks!! Miracles, k-

  15. Thanks for this encouraging (as always) video - I like the idea of "pacing" - and my pace is ALWAYS behind! But I keep plugging along.

Thanks for leading this group - and I know for sure I won't be officially finishing up on Fri. - it will be at least almost another week, for sure.

    (I'm always BEHIND, remember?)

And Kavindra - ha ha - I know at least half of *your* fun is the costumes! ha ha ha! Thanks for making me laugh! HARD! And really really LOUD!

  16. Gosh,, I am locked out of Dirty Footprints Studio. anyone know why? Its one of my fav fav blogs
