Laughter & mayhem ensued on the Wrecking Ball Call! Not only did we get a chance to chat about what we all got out of this experience but the wrecking continued - LIVE! Enjoy the call.

Wreck this Journal ~ Week 7

An Invitation: With only 2 weeks to go, my thoughts have already turned to celebration (you know how I feel about celebration) and I'd like to invite you to a conference call to wrap up this wrecking adventure! We can share our thoughts and experiences about creative destruction and what we want to keep present in our lives well after this leg of the journey is complete.

Date: Friday, July 31st
Time: 2:00 EST
Where: Conference Call - I'll be sending out an invitation with the details shortly. The conference call will be an American number.
Bonus: I'll be announcing our next book and start date on the call.

I hope you'll join me and we can share our tales of wreckage, creation and growth and likely more than a few giggles. I'm looking forward to hearing you!

  1. 2:00 EST is 8 pm MEZ, isn't it? It's 6 hours from where you are. (It's very early morning now)Really, I need a world time clock on my blog *smile*
Phone number? I'm afraid I'm out. This will be too expensive for me.
and chatting in a language which is not your Mother Tongue is really a hard thing too.
    Well, we will see.
There are only few pages left blank in my journal and I'm really looking forward to filling it all up. I'm quite sure, I will have the whole journal done by July, 31.
And I'm sure, it will be fun through the whole time.
    Greetings from Germany!

  4. Hi Jamie, That is awesome. I don't have long distance to call to Canada. It is quite expensive. But I love what your are doing.

  5. Oh, I didn't think to mention it but it will be an American conference call number. Thanks for bringing that up, Grammy.

  7. Aww, I won't be around for the conference call! (I'll be in the middle of moving!)

PS. For those who want to participate in the call but don't want the expense, picking up a $5 phone card at a convenience store is THE BEST THING EVER. They have such cheap long distance rates and are totally worth it! It's the only thing I use for long distance. :)

  10. I'm doing so much wrecking and creating these days - it's great. I'll try and make the call - just need to work out the time difference - I might be tucked up in bed! Would be great to say hi to a few people. Great idea

  11. I spent a lot of time this week thinking about what I'm learning from the journey and what I want to take with me. I found time to do a bit of rule-breaking-wrecking too!

  15. What an excellent idea to have conference call as a wrap! Unfortuantely the time differences will not allow me to join the party. But, hey, I'll be there with you and our fellow wreckers in spirit.

And I love your message about thinking what this wrecking mean to us. I'm still processing it ... so probably there will be a bit of a long post when WTJ is finished!

Cheers and see you next week! ;)

  18. I posted my link for this week on last week's post. oops! Well, I guess it works out because this week's post is for 2 weeks worth of wrecking. :-)

I've loved watching all your videos with this book, Jamie. You have such sparkling energy!

What I'd like to get out of the next two weeks...well, I want to remind myself that I don't need to complete the whole book in 2 weeks, that it can linger on. And I really want to do the sewing page! :-)

  19. The celebration call sounds great. I had a great time wrecking this week. In the last weeks I don't want to feel I have to do every page. I am just going to go with the flow and do what I feel like.

  20. Hmmm..I guess I haven't even thought at all about what I want to get out of this experience. I'm just doing it. But maybe it is about getting out of my comfort zone. Today I took my journal for a walk, and didn't pay any attention at all to people I passed along the way.

But I must say, Jamie - I really to love the enthusiasm and sense of excitement and adventure you have brought to this project. Your videos are great!

I hope you will post either another video or some sort of summary or something about your conference call, for those of us who are not able to make it. I'd love to hear what others have to say about this experience, and how you're going to wrap it all up for us.

Thanks for guiding us through this project.

  22. I missed the update for this week but I'll definitely have one for the next week. I did a lot of wrecking today. I may or may not be able to do the conference call, so I'll see how that goes.

  23. The casual challenge of WTJ has allowed me to develop the habit of enjoying {one} creative task at a time ... Instead of meadering through, stopping/starting and feeling frustrated at my "vain" attempts at {just right} ...

On a larger scale it has empowered me to complete pages of my {creative} business plan. I have stared at this for months now. Thus, I have enjoyed the opportunity to focus on it — and let go of what is undone and yet-to-be-done!

Looking forward to the conference call!
